Cosmic Crunch

In addition to the design elements I created for the brand, I also wrote a research paper and conducted a scientific study as part of my thesis project. My paper explores the ethical implications associated with advertising unhealthy cereal products to children, while also using existing research to determine what visual elements children find most captivating on these unhealthy products. I used this findings to inform my design decisions while creating Cosmic Crunch.

 

To test the effectiveness of my packaging design, I interviewed first and third graders to see if they would prefer the packaging for Cosmic Crunch over competing healthy and unhealthy cereal brands. Further details about my data and results can be found in my paper.
